Climate Change – How YOU can help

At this point in history, it has been accepted by most that climate change is a serious issue that should be resolved for the benefit of the planet. But how exactly do we accomplish that?

There are many very simple ways in which you can help the world’s effort to put an end to the issue of global warming. For example;

1)      Drive more efficiently and combine trips.

Don’t drive aggressively and stick to speed limits. If you need to make multiple stops along the way, figure out the most efficient route, so you do less miles in total. You can also leave the car at home altogether, and carpool, or use public transport.

2)      Use energy wisely.

You can make some very small changes, but they will all add up. For example, you could switch to energy-saving light bulbs, and unplug computers, TVs and other electronics when you’re not using them. You might think it’s just a standby LED on your television, but t can use a significant amount of energy if it’s on for hours at a time.

3)       Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Take advantage of second-hand markets where you can give a second life to items rejected by someone else. This will help you reduce emissions, as well as save a bit of money!!

As well as that, make sure to recycle your packaging. Just by recycling half of the rubbish produced at home, you can save over 730kg of Carbon Dioxide a year.

Finally, if you stick to the belief that every small change matters, all these changes will accumulate, leading to a final result, which is to slow down the process of global warming, as it is a process which will slowly happen all on its own, but we must make every effort to slow it down as much as we can.
